Understand a narcissist
I recently read a book called “Surrounded by Narcissists” and the way they think I just don’t think that way. I don’t see other people as disposable tools to play games with. No thanks.

Re: Understand a narcissist
I read a psychology book called Surrounded by Narcissists. They have a whole chapter just on games people play to get in your head. I don’t have time or energy for that bullshit

Even if it’s something I don’t want to hear I can respect someone being honest with me.

Re: Understand a narcissist
So basically you like to take them apart and see what makes them tick. What you get in return is knowledge and something to compare with yourself
Re: Understand a narcissist
From what I read in the book, the narcissist will dehumanize the people around them to justify seeking their own self gratification from those he thinks are weak.
Re: Understand a narcissist
True we look up to god to give ourselves value (a soul) but viewing others as people with souls is something a narcissist can’t do.
Re: Understand a narcissist
I would be so depressed to live in that mindset. There is more to life. It’s a life wasted imo
Re: Understand a narcissist
Becoming better is a life long battle most narcissists don’t want help they don’t think they have a problem or don’t care if they do. When I said I don’t understand them I’m from the outside looking in. But everything the narcissist does is for his own gratification like giving compliments to someone with low self esteem it’s seen a a weakness for the narcissist to use that for their own ego.
