I think I’m okay but of course I’ve done bad things

I think some people lie out of fear “white lies” we are taught to spare someone’s self esteem instead. I can’t accept compliments because I think that’s what they are doing

How do you think person 1 would feel after being told that?

I would think the person has trust issues and I should back off because they either don’t like me or don’t like people in general
